Étienne François de Choiseul, Duke of Choiseul (28 June 1719 – 8 May 1785) was a French military officer, diplomat and statesman. From 1758 to 1761 and from 1766 to 1770, he was Foreign Minister of France during the last years of the reign of King Louis XV and in the early years of his successor King Louis XVI.
