Adolf, Landgrave of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld (29 June 1743 – 17 July 1803) was a member of the House of Hesse. He was the ruling Landgrave of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld from 1777 until his death.
Marriage[edit]
On 18 October 1781, he married Princess Luise of Saxe-Meiningen, daughter of Anton Ulrich, Duke of Saxe-Meiningen and Charlotte Amalie of Hesse-Philippsthal.
Issue[edit]
- Prince Friedrich of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld (1782 – 1783) died in infancy.
- Charles, Landgrave of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld (27 June 1784 – 17 July 1854) married twice and had issue.
- Prince Wilhelm of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld ((10 August 1786 – 30 November 1834) married Princess Juliane Sophie of Denmark burt had no issue.
- Prince Georg of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld (1787–1788) died in infancy.
- Prince Ernst Friedrich of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld (28 January 1789 – 19 April 1850) never married.
- Princess Charlotte of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld (born and died 1794) died in infancy.
