Princess Caroline of Hesse-Rotenburg (18 August 1714 – 14 June 1741) was born a princess of the small Landgraviate of Hesse-Rotenburg who married a grandson of Louis XIV of France making her the Duchess of Bourbon by marriage. An aunt of the Princesse de Lamballe, Caroline was also a sister of the Queen Polyxena of Sardinia, mother of King Victor Amadeus III of Sardinia. Caroline tried to become a mistress of Louis XV of France but failed. The mother of the Marquis de Sade served as a lady-in-waiting to Caroline.

- Louis Joseph de Bourbon, Prince of Condé (9 August 1736 – 13 May 1818) married (1) Charlotte de Rohan and had issue. Married (2) Maria Caterina Brignole but had no issue.
