Royal Chapel of Dreux

The Royal Chapel of Dreux is the burial place of members of the House of Orléans. Located in the town of Dreux in France, the land was inherited by Louise Marie Adélaïde de Bourbon from her father Louis Jean Marie de Bourbon, Duke of Penthièvre. At the death of her father Marie Adélaïde inherited his vast fortune including the property at Dreux haed a small church on it. Eventually, after the reign of King Louis Philippe I of the French the site was extended an remodelled and became the private burial site for member of the descendants of King Louis Philippe I.
