Charles de Bourbon, 1st Duke of Vendôme (2 June 1489 – 25 March 1537) was a French prince du sang and military commander at the court of Francis I of France as well as the paternal grandfather of the future King Henry IV of France.
Marriage[edit]
On 18 May 1513, Charles married Françoise d'Alençon, eldest daughter of René, Duke of Alençon and Marguerite of Lorraine. They had issue.

- Louis de Bourbon (1514–1516), died in infancy.
- Marie de Bourbon (29 October 1515 – 28 September 1538) died unmarried.
- Marguerite de Bourbon (26 October 1516 -20 October 1559) married Francis, Duke of Nevers and had issue.
- Antoine de Bourbon (22 April 1518 – 17 November 1562) married Queen Jeanne III of Navarre and had issue.
- François de Bourbon, Count of Enghien (23 September 1519 – 23 February 1546) died unmarried.
- Madeleine (1521 † 1561) Abbess of Sainte-Croix de Poitiers.
- Louis de Bourbon (1522 - 1525) died in infancy.
- Charles de Bourbon (22 September 1523 – 9 May 1590) Archbishop of Rouen.
- Catherine de Bourbon (1525 - 1594) Abbess.
- Renée de Bourbon (1527 - 1583) Abbess of Chelles
- Jean, Count of Soissons and Enghien (6 July 1528 or 1526 – 10 or 15 August 1557) never married.
- Louis de Bourbon, 1st Prince of Condé married Éléonore de Roye and had issue then remarried Françoise d'Orléans-Longueville and had further issue.
