Eleonora de' Medici (28 February 1567 – 9 September 1611) wis a Duchess o Mantua by marriage to Vincenzo I Gonzaga. She was a daughter of Grand Duke Francesco I de' Medici of Tuscany and Joanna of Austria. She was a family member of the famous House of Medici and the sister of Marie de' Medici the Queen consort of France.

Marriage[edit]

On 29 April 1584, Medici married Hereditary Prince Vincenzo Gonzaga of Mantua.

Issue[edit]

  1. Francesco IV Gonzaga, Duke of Mantua (7 May 1586 – 22 December 1612) married Princess Margherita of Savoy (daughter of Charles Emmanuel I, Duke of Savoy) but had no issue.
  2. Ferdinando Gonzaga, Duke of Mantua (26 April 1587 – 29 October 1626) married Caterina de' Medici (daughter of Ferdinando I de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany) but had no issue.
  3. Margherita Gonzaga (2 October 1591 – 7 February 1632) married Henry II, Duke of Lorraine an haed issue.
  4. Vincenzo II Gonzaga, Duke of Mantua (7 January 1594 – 25 December 1627) married Isabella Gonzaga but had no issue.
  5. Eleonora Gonzaga married Ferdinand II, Holy Roman Emperor but had no issue.
