The title Electoral Prince (de:Kurprinz) was given to the heir apparent to the throne of one of the Electorates of the Holy Roman Empire. The wife of the Electoral Prince was called the Electoral Princess (de:Kurprinzessin) by marriage. In 1606 the Holy Roman Empire was abolished by Napoleon, and the title has not been used again.
