François de Bourbon, Count of Vendôme (circa 1470 – 30 October 1495), was the Count of Vendôme and a French prince du sang.
Marriage[edit]
On 8 September 1487, he married Marie of Luxembourg, the principle heiress of Peter II of Luxembourg, Count of Saint-Pol and Soissons, and Margaret of Savoy. She brought great estates as her dowry, including the countships of Saint-Pol and Soissons in Picardy, as well as the Château de Condé.
Issue[edit]
- Charles de Bourbon, 1st Duke of Vendôme (2 June 1489 – 25 March 1537) maried Françoise d'Alençon and had issue.
- Jacques de Bourbon (1490–1491), died in infancy.
- Francis de Bourbon (6 October 1491 – 1 September 1545) married Adrienne d'Estouteville, Duchess of Estouteville and had issue.
- Louis de Bourbon (2 January 1493, – 13 March 1557) Archbishop of Sens.
- Antoinette de Bourbon (25 December 1494 – 22 January 1583) married Claude of Lorraine, 1st Duke of Guise and founded the House of Guise.
