Germain Louis Chauvelin, Marquis of Grosbois (26 March 1685 – 1 April 1762) was a member of minor French nobility. He was created Marquis of Grosbois in 1734 by King Louis XV.




Marriage[edit]

In 1718, he married heiress Anne Cahouet.

  1. Claude Louis Chauvelin, Marquis of Grosbois (1718-1750) (no issue and died before his father of wounds from a duel.
  2. Anne Espérance Chauvelin (born 8 December 1725) married twice.
  3. Anne Madeleine Chauvelin (born 1727) married Louis Michel Chamillart, Count of La Suze.
  4. Anne Sabine Rosalie Chauvelin (born 732) married Jean François de La Rochefoucauld, Count of Surgères.
