Welcome to Royalpedia!
Welcome to Royalpedia, the online royal encyclopaedia on European and Latin American royalty founded in 2018.
Established by experienced former editors of Wikipedia’s Royalty and Nobility Wikiproject, we have the ambitious aim of building the most comprehensive and free royal resource. To achieve this goal we are looking to grow the community of volunteers we need to help create, clean, improve and maintain articles.
To get the project up and running in some cases we are initially importing articles from Wikipedia which we intend to improve and expand upon where required, as well as creating brand new content that you won’t find elsewhere such as listing the entire line of succession to the British throne.
This is a new and a long term project so please bear with us while we build the encyclopedia, and if you feel you have something to contribute - no matter how big or small - all good faith edits to articles are welcome so please register for an account!
Once you have you joined as a contributor if you need to bring issues to the attention of administrators and wider the Royalpedia community please use the Royalpedia Noticeboard. Rules and procedures will develop overtime, but for now we have a very simple ask of all contributors:
- Cite your sources - we don’t automatically rule out any sources so please if you are adding content to article please insert into the text details of the source used. Where needed, the reliability of sources can be assessed and discussed in a civil manner by the community and a consensus reached.
- Attribution - you are welcome to import articles from Wikipedia so long as you attach the attribution notice
{{En-WP attribution notice|Wikipedia Article Name}}
- Have fun most importantly of all, enjoy sharing your interest in royalty with likeminded individuals. All good faith edits are welcome, editors who wish to vandalise articles will be banned.
