Maria Teresa Felicitas d'Este, Princess of Modena (; October 6, 1726 – April 30, 1754) was born in Modena the eldest surviving daughter of the reigning Duke Francesco III of Modena and his consort Charlotte Aglaé d'Orléans. Following her parent's separation her mother returned to her native France taking her daughters where they frequented the court of her cousin Louis XV of France at Versailles. While living with her mother in France her mother was influential in marrying her daughter to Louis Jean Marie de Bourbon, Duke of Penthièvre, whom she married on 29 December 1744 immediately becoming the Duchess of Penthièvre. The couple enjoyed a loving marriage that only ended as a result of her death in childbirth aged just 27. The Duke refused to remarry despite his mother-in-law suggesting he remarry another one of her daughters, Matilde d'Este. The Duchess of Penthièvre was buried within the Royal Chapel of Dreux with the son, Louis Marie Félicité de Bourbon she died giving birth to.
