Marie Henriette of Austria (Marie Henriette Anne; 23 August 1836 – 19 September 1902) was Queen of the Belgians as the wife of King Leopold II.


Marriage[edit]

On 22 August 1853, Archduchess Marie Henriette married Prince Leopold, Duke of Brabant, second-surviving son and heir of Leopold I of Belgium and his late consort Louise of Orléans.

Issue[edit]

  1. Princess Louise of Belgium (18 February 1858 – 1 March 1924) married Prince Philipp of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and had issue.

Prince Léopold, Duke of Brabant (12 June 1859 – 22 January 1869) died from pneumonia before succeeding his father.

  1. Princess Stéphanie of Belgium (21 May 1864 – 23 August 1945) married Rudolf, Crown Prince of Austria and had issue.
  2. Princess Clémentine of Belgium (30 July 1872 – 8 March 1955) married Victor, Prince Napoléon and had issue.
