Marie of Prussia (Marie Friederike Franziska Auguste Hedwig;; October 15, 1825 – May 17, 1889) was Queen of Bavaria by marriage to Maximilian II of Bavaria, and the mother of Kings Ludwig II and Otto of Bavaria.

Marriage[edit]

On On 12 October 1842, Princess Marie she married the Maxilian, Crown Prince of Bavaria, and later King of Bavaria as Maximilian II.


Issue[edit]

  1. Ludwig II of Bavaria (25 August 1845 – 13 June 1886) never married and died in suspicious circumstances.
  2. Otto of Bavaria (27 April 1848 – 11 October 1916) never married and had no issue
