Odoardo Farnese, Duke of Parma (28 April 1612 – 11 September 1646), incorrectly known as Odoardo I Farnese to distinguish him from his grandson Hereditary Prince Odoardo, was Duke o Parma and Piacenza from 1622 till his death in 1646.
Marriage[edit]
on 11 October 1628, he married Margherita de Medici with whom had he four children with. Margherita was a daughter of Grand Duke Cosimo II of Tuscany.
Children[edit]
- Ranuccio II Farnese, Duke of Parma (1630–1694) married Princess Margaret Yolande of Savoy (1), Isabella d'Este (2), Maria d'Este and had issue with each partner.
- Alessandro Farnese (10 January 1635 – 18 February 1689), Governor of the Austrian Netherlands from 1678 to 1682.
- Orazio Farnese (24 January 1636 – 2 November 1656) died unmarried.
- Caterina Farnese (3 September 1637 – 24 April 1684) nun.
