Paul I of Russia (1 October 1754 – 23 March 1801) was Emperor of Russia from 1796 until his assassination. Officially, he was the only son of Peter III and Catherine the Great, although Catherine hinted that he was fathered by her lover Sergei Saltykov.

- Grand Duke Konstantin Pavlovich of Russia (27 April 1779 – 27 June 1831) married Princess Juliane of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld but had no issue.
- Grand Duchess Alexandra Pavlovna of Russia (9 August 1783 – 16 March 1801) married Archduke Joseph of Austria but died in childbirth.
- Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna of Russia (16 February 1786 – 23 June 1859) married Charles Frederick, Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach and had issue.
- Grand Duchess Catherine Pavlovna of Russia 21 May 1788 – 9 January 1819) married William I of Württemberg and had issue.
