Philippe of Savoy, 1st Duke of Nemours (1490 – 25 November 1533) was a French nobleman. He was a son of Philip II, Duke of Savoy, and his second wife Claudine de Brosse. He was a half-brother of Louise of Savoy, the mother of Francis I of France. He was the founder of the Nemours cadet branch of the House of Savoy which eventually settled in France.
Marriage[edit]
On September 17, 1528, he married Charlotte d'Orléans (1512 - 1549) daughter of Louis d'Orléans, Duke of Longueville.
Issue[edit]
- Jacques of Savoy, 2nd Duke of Nemours 12 October 1531 – 18 June 1585) married Anna d'Este and had issue.
- Jeanne of Savoy (1532 - 5 July 1568) married Nicolas, Duke of Mercœur and had issue.
