Prince Eduard of Saxe-Altenburg (Eduard Karl Wilhelm Christian; 3 July 1804 – 16 May 1852) was a German prince of the ducal house of Saxe-Hildburghausen (of Saxe-Altenburg from 1826).
First marriage[edit]
On 25 July 1835, he married Princess Amalie of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen.

- Princess Therese of Saxe-Altenburg (21 December 1836 - 9 November 1914) married Prince August of Sweden, Duke of Dalarna.
- Princess Antoinette of Saxe-Altenburg (17 April 1838 - 13 October 1908) married Frederick I, Duke of Anhalt.

On 8 March 1842, he married Princess Luise Caroline Reuss of Greiz, daughter of Heinrich XIX.

- Prince Albert of Saxe-Altenburg (14 April 1843 - 22 May 1902) married (1) Princess Marie of Prussia and (2) Duchess Helene of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
- Princess Marie Gasparine of Saxe-Altenburg (28 June 1845 - 5 July 1930) married Charles Gonthier, Prince of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen.
