Princess Auguste Reuss of Köstritz (Auguste Mathilde Wilhelmine Reuß; 26 May 1822 – 3 March 1862) was Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg-Schwerin as the first consort of Frederick Francis II, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.



Marriage[edit]

On 3 November 1849, she married Frederick Francis II, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin in Ludwigslust.


Issue[edit]

  1. Frederick Francis III, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (19 March 1851 – 10 April 1897) married Grand Duchess Anastasia Mikhailovna of Russia and had issue.
  2. Prince Paul Friedrich of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (19 September 1852 – 17 May 1923) never married.
  3. Princess Marie of Mecklenburg-Schwerin 14 May 1854 – 6 September 1920) married Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich of Russia and had issue.
  4. Prince Nikolaus of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (1855–1856) died young.
  5. Prince Johann Albrecht of Mecklenburg-Schwerin 8 December 1857 – 16 February 1920) married twice and had issue.
  6. Prince Alexander of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (1859–1859) died young.
