Princess Hélène of Orléans (Hélène Louise Henriette; 13 June 1871 – 21 January 1951) was a member of the deposed Orléans royal family of France and, by marriage to the head of a cadet branch of the Italian royal family, the Duchess of Aosta. Although her hand in marriage was sought for the heirs to the thrones of both the United Kingdom and the Russian Empire, neither alliance materialised.

Marriage[edit]

On 25 June 1895, in Kingston upon Thames, Hélène married Prince Emanuele Filiberto, Duke of Aosta (1869–1931). He was at the time second in line to the Italian throne. Her husband was a member of the Aosta branch of the House of Savoy.

Issue[edit]

  1. Prince Amedeo of Savoy, (3rd) Duke of Aosta (21 October 1898 – 3 March 1942) married Princess Anne of Orléans.
  2. Prince Aimone of Savoy, (4th) Duke of Aosta who briefly reigned as King Tomislav II of Croatia. (9 March 1900 – 29 January 1948) married Princess Irene of Greece and Denmark.
