Princess Maria Pia of the Two Sicilies (1849–1882)


Princess Maria Pia of the Two Sicilies (Maria Pia della Grazia; 2 August 1849 – 29 September 1882) was born a Princess of the Two Sicilies and later duchess of Parma after her 1869 marriage to Duke Roberto I of Parma. Following the Unification of Italy in 1861 Maria Pia and her family went into exile.

Princess Maria Pia married the exiled Duke of Parma Robert I in Rome on 5 April 1869. Robert I was the eldest son of son of Charles III, Duke of Parma and Louise Marie Thérèse d'Artois.
