Silvia Paternò (Silvia Ottavia Costanza Maria; born 31 December 1953) is a member of the Aosta branch of the House of Savoy by marriage to Prince Amedeo of Savoy, Duke of Aosta on 30 March 1987. She was born Silvia Paternò but known as Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Aosta as the wife of a pretender to the throne of the Kingdom of Italy from the Hose of Savoy. Her father's Family are nobility from the island of Sicily. She is also simply referred to as Princess Silvia.
Marriage[edit]
Prince Amedeo of Savoy, Duke of Aosta, himself a son of Prince Aimone, Duke of Aosta and his wife Princess Irene of Greece and Denmark. They married on 30 March 1987 at the Villa Spedalotto on Sicily. The Duke of Aosta is a descendant of Victor Emmanuel II of Italy.
