Tommaso Francesco of Savoy, (1st) Prince of Carignano Tommaso Francesco; 21 December 1596 – 22 January 1656) founded the Carignano branch of the House of Savoy, which later reigned as Kings of Sardinia from 1831 till 1861, and then as Kings of Italy from 1861 until the dynasty's deposition in 1946. He was also an ancestor of the Princesse de Lamballe who, like her friend Marie Antoinette was murdered in the French Revolution.

- Princess Louise Christine of Savoy (1 August 1627 – 7 July 1689) married Ferdinand Maximilian, Hereditary Prince of Baden-Baden and had issue.
- Emmanuel Philibert of Savoy, Prince of Carignano (20 August 1628 – 23 April 1709) married Maria Angela Caterina d'Este and had issue.
- Prince Amedeo of Savoy (1629) died young.
- Prince Joseph Emmanuel, Count of Soissons (1631–1656).
- Prince Ferdinand of Savoy (1637)died young.
- Prince Eugene Maurice, Count of Soissons 2 March 1635 – 6 June 1673) married Olympia Mancini and had issue.
