Victor Amadeus of Savoy, Prince of Piedmont (Vittorio Amedeo Giovanni Filippo; 6 May 1699 - 22 March 1715) was the son an hier o King Victor Amadeus II of Sardinia whom he was named after. He was styled the Prince of Piedmont. His mither was Anne Marie d'Orléans, herself a niece of Louis XIV of France and sister of Philippe, Duke of Orléans, Regent of France (Regent for the infant King Louis XV. Victor Amadeus died from smallpox in 1715 an was buried at the Royal Basilica of Superga. His younger brother Prince Charles Emmanuel would cecame the Prince of Piedmont and then the next King of Sardinia from 1730.
