Victor Amadeus II, Duke of Savoy (Vittorio Amedeo Francesco; 14 May 1666 – 31 October 1732) was Duke of Savoy from 1675 to 1730 before he was created the King of Sardinia which he ruled as Victor Amadeus II. He married a niece of King Louis XIV of France in 1684. King Victor Amadeus II was the maternal grandfather of King Louis XV of France.
